As part of the International Day for Biodiversity, the Centre Balear de Biodiversitat (CBB-UIB) and the Institute of Evolutionary Biology (IBE) are jointly organizing the second edition of the Biodiversity Interdisciplinary Meeting.
This event, taking place on May 22 in Palma de Mallorca, aims to promote biodiversity research, foster collaboration among different scientific teams, and strengthen the network of professionals dedicated to this field.
Under the theme #UIBiodiversityDay2025, this multidisciplinary gathering will bring together researchers, students, and managers from disciplines such as biology, evolution, ecology, conservation, and environmental sciences. Participants will explore strategies for biodiversity conservation and sustainable management, as well as advancements in species discovery and characterization. Additionally, discussions will focus on new tools available for biodiversity study and analysis, emphasizing ecology, biological responses to environmental variables, and the use of organisms as bioindicators to better understand ecosystems.
This initiative will help tackle biodiversity challenges and opportunities from a collective and innovative perspective.
