Interest

Endemic to the Iberian Peninsula. Listed as Vulnerable by IUCN. One of the only three medically important venomous snakes of the Iberian Peninsula.

Distribution and origin of the sample

Distributed across the Iberian Peninsula with the exception of the northernmost parts. The sample originates from the Parc Natural dels Ports (Catalonia).
